A card from the game 'Fork in the Road' with colorful illustrations of pizza, a fork, a hamburger, a food truck, and a diner. The title is prominently displayed along with the subtitle 'Dining Adventure Card Game.'

It started with weekly date nights.

Each year, they chose a dining theme. In 2025, they could not agree on one. Erik grabbed a pen and an old deck of cards, wrote down dining ideas, and let chance decide. That simple moment became the first prototype of Fork in the Road.

When they shared it with friends, the reaction was instant. Laughter replaced indecision, and choosing where to eat became part of the fun.

Within a month, the idea evolved into a polished deck with playful twists like Phone a Friend and Draw 2 More. What started as a pen and an old deck of cards is now a fully illustrated game successfully funded over 110% on Kickstarter. We were chosen as a “Project We Love”. We are now available at Etsy, Amazon, and ForkInTheRoadGame.com, as well as two retail locations in San Diego, Joehn’s Coffee & Small Batch Store.
